"Those who think that children don’t like sharing are in for a good surprise! The proof? Kinky & Cosy, two extraordinary twins, are going to share what is most precious to them: their candies their bad manners! 'The Kinky & Cosy Experience' is an exceptional adventure that travels across Europe in a container!"

With this playful introduction, the brochure for "The Kinky & Cosy Experience" set the tone for a wild, interactive exhibition centered on the mischievous comic characters Kinky & Cosy. These newspaper sensations and animated stars took the spotlight in 2015 at the prestigious international comic festival in Angoulême. Creator Nix chose not to display his iconic twins in static frames but instead crafted a fully immersive machine to transform visitors into Kinky & Cosy themselves.

In a multi-sensory journey filled with sharp humor, visitors were first brainwashed, then indoctrinated, trained, and finally treated to a 4D cinema experience. After navigating through four uniquely themed rooms, each offering a different atmosphere, visitors left as new, Kinky & Cosy versions of themselves—bold, cheeky, and fearless. After all, the world belongs to those who dare!

The exhibition was a massive success and Nix later transformed it into a 45-foot shipping container, which toured Europe in the following years. Cities such as Naples, Frankfurt, Erlangen, Delémont, Brussels, Antwerp, Turnhout, Zeebrugge, Harelbeke, and Zoutleeuw witnessed a steady stream of eager participants, many of whom enjoyed the experience so much that they queued up again immediately afterward. The press responded with praise across the board. 25.000 people visited the exhibition at 11 different locations.

Although the container has since been dismantled, this page cherishes the memories of an unforgettable time. Special thanks to our sponsors: Literatuur Vlaanderen, Vyncke, Soudal, ECS, Boss Paints, Les Editions du Lombard, Ballon Media, Play and Haribo.
